SMS Polling / Voting System

We have presently developed a SMS polling software and offering the software and hardware free installed and maintained by us onsite to newspapers at their offices on a mutually beneficial co-branded basis

The concept is to print a question of public importance on the newspaper or extend an already existing Internet poll question and have readers send their voting response “Yes” “No” “Don’t know” by SMS. 

Based on the ground realities in India where penetration of mobile devices is higher than Internet users we expect this system to “take the pulse of the readers “ more accurately 

A brief overview of the system

Software does not require a dedicated computer and can be run on almost any PC running Windows OS The package includes the polling Software and a normal cell phone and data cable. It uses a normal SIM card from a GSM operator with a local mobile number. In functionality it is similar to the four digit short codes but unlike short codes that is billed according to the agreement between the content provider and the service provider and can only be reached from certain networks a long code (Local GSM number) can be accessed from almost anywhere in the world for the price of an Normal SMS depending on location and tariff of the Local GSM operator. Receiving the response is an incoming SMS and is free
